Is it possible to get tired of Italian food?

My relationship with Italian food started ever before I moved to the sunny Italian capital. As any relationship, ours had its ups and downs, mostly in the numbers that I saw on my scales!

Having previously lived in London, I have practically lived off cocktails at the parties, which replaced the boring English food. However, following the famous saying “when in Rome do as Romans do”, my life is now planned in-between my meals!

After about six months living Rome my body had begun craving for some yoghurt, smoothies, fresh juices and quinoa. Rome certainly is the most delicious capital in Europe, however it is not rich with London style cafés for the seekers of organic light meals and drinks. So today I would like to share with you a little gem hidden close to Piazza di Spagna, called GINGER SAPORI E SALUTE.

I cannot describe my excitement when I saw a Low Fat Yogurt with Cereals and Honey in their menu. To treat myself even further I ordered an Anti-stress Smoothie made with maracuja, strawberries and apple. Whether you are in a mood for a green tea with various flavors or an Aloe Vera Shot to boost your immune system, this is the perfect place for you.

Today I am writing this blog post in the very same café, enjoying a cup of  Cappuccino and cheating on my diet by eating a carrot cake with Limoncello, Orange Cream and Lemon Icing. As a lot of cafés in the historical center the only unpleasant moment is when you get your bill, but we can treat ourselves once in a while!
